review | 10/08/07 | Chris Martin
You\'ve been watching The Ticker, you\'ve seen the reviews, you\'ve been playing the game. Halo 3 has had a phenomenal launch, selling over 2 million copies in the first night of release. We\'ve taken the good Master Chief into the heart of the ark, killed hundreds of thousands of Covenant, and rescued Cortana from the clutches of the Gravemind. Now here\'s our review of the most anticipated videogame of 2007. Is Halo 3 still the reason to own an Xbox 360?

Will the 'Station Rumble Soon?
editorial | 09/17/07 | Chris Martin
This article came by way of Shacknews, but originated from 2007-6461.html\"" onClick="window.open( this.href, '_self' ); return false;" title="">Pro-G who reported (citing some insider info) that Sony is likely to announce at TGS a new Dual Shock (we are only on #2, at this point) in an effort to cover their bloodied SIXAXIS tracks right into your living room. The rumored \"update\" looks an attempt to curb the potty mouths of internet users and Sony bashers everywhere, and comes hot off negotiations with rumble manufacturers (and patent holders) Immersion. And it\'s about damn time, since the PlayStation pioneered rumble anyway. Now that rumble is being reconsidered in the PS3, is it enough? Will it be enough? We give our two cents.

I Want To Give Peter Molyneux a Big Hug
game: Fable 2
news | 08/08/07 | Chris Martin
Some incorporate, others innovate. Peter Molyneux is the kind of developer that makes you want to give him a big hug. He\'s the kind of developer that is not satisfied with the way games are and insists that he innovate. He is the kind of man who gets an idea and runs with it. Recently, Peter Molyneux, in an interview and combat demonstration with 200708/015_p1.asp\"" onClick="window.open( this.href, '_self' ); return false;" title="">Kikizo, had a lot to say about the state of combat in video games, and a lot to say about how Fable 2 would change it all, forever.

Forza 2 Gets 4 New Cars in First Downloadable Pack
game: Forza Motorsport 2
news | 08/01/07 | Chris Martin
It didn\'t take long for Turn 10\'s gearheaded staff to release the first of, what I assume will be, many downloadable packs for Forza Motorsport 2. In this pack they bring us four cars. The first three come from Nissan and are free for all: 2007 Sentra SE-R, 2007 Altima, 2007 350Z. The fourth car is the second place winner of this year\'s Le Mans: the Peugeot 908 race car - costing 50 gamerpoints (not bad). The Peugeot is also the first racecar (R4-1 class), as gamers will note, that can be painted.

Gothic 3 Review
game: Gothic 3
review | 02/03/07 | Sean Hilliard
The Gothic series has been a cult fave for quite awhile, rivaling that RPG juggernaut, The Elder Scrolls, for the hearts and minds of hardcore PC gamers. The latest, Gothic 3, has drawn a lot of (mostly unfavorable) comparison to Oblivion, but our man Sean Hilliard thinks there is another popular game that Gothic 3 draws from: World of Warcraft. Check out Sean\'s review of one of the most derided cult favorites of 2007.

Is E3 Going Away?: Next-Gen Reports Possible Cancellation of E3 2007
news | 07/30/06 | Aaron Stanton
In a turn of events that is so unexpected it reminds us of an April Fools joke out of season, Next-gen.biz is reporting insider information that E3 2007 is canceled. The magazine reports that a number of large companies (we can only assume companies like Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, EA, or Ubisoft) have decided to withdraw from the exposition. Without the support of the yet unnamed companies, the ESA is considering closing E3 in its present form. Next-gen reports that an official announcement is expected in the next few days, as in 48 hours. Next-Gen.biz has proven to be reliable in the past. When its editor was asked about the story, he repeated his confidence in the story\'s sources and replied, \"I\'m sure the story is right. E3 is done.\"

Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel Review
game: Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel
review | 07/10/06 | Laurie Taylor
The graphic novel has earned itself a standing as an independent art form over the years, and is now moving into the digital realm. Following in the footsteps of the Silent Hill Experience, Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel comes to the PSP under the banner of a new medium. Except, instead of just telling a good story in classic graphic novel form, the developers felt obligated to include uninteresting and tedious gameplay elements into the presentation. The result is promising, but less than perfect. Graphic novel fans should be excited about the potential, but for now the rich promise of digital graphic novels on the PSP remains unrealized.

The New N-Gage: The System that Could
game: N-Gage
preview | 05/28/06 | RJ Brooks
Though the N-Gage hardware might be gone, the N-Gage spirit apparently won\'t die. Nokia has changed the N-Gage from a portable gaming device into a portable gaming network available exclusively to Nokia customers. The network will provide downloadable games to many different types of cell phones, not just a specific one pushed as a gaming device. Set to launch in 2007, the service will offer both first and third party titles. If you\'re interested in Nokia\'s push to return to the world of gaming, read about the rebirth of the N-Gage.
